Erin and Nick are one of those couples that have an ease about their relationship that makes them a perfect match. Erin makes Nick smile and they laugh so easily together. It’s obvious that they enjoy sharing their lives in such a way that is full of joy. Nicks emotions throughout their wedding day will forever be in my memory. He is so genuine and not all afraid to show his love and appreciation for Erin. I loved that both of their mom’s were part of the planning team, and each had their specific tasks to research for Erin and Nick’s big day. Erin is a nurse and Nick is in law, so their schedules were jammed pack with other responsibilities. It was nice to have both mom’s to be the paper keepers and communicators when the couple were dealing with their careers and every day life.
I met Erin’s mom Tanya at another venue’s Open House. She loved that our specialty is working with brides and their mom’s, so she booked a Venue Consultation with me to get my insight to the venues they were considering for the couple’s wedding. They ultimately booked my planning services because they liked my calm demeanor and willingness to share information and ideas. They also felt that my 19 years experience in the wedding industry would be a fabulous asset to their event. I was so excited to have them join the Ame Soeur Events family and to work at Wish Well House again! They loved the modern yet warm and inviting layout of the venue. Because of it’s indoor and outdoor spaces, the venue was exactly what the couple wanted for their garden themed wedding.
Their day was filled with lots of joy and laughter, some happy tears too. One of the moments that had a little bit of all of those emotions was Erin’s first look with her bridesmaids. They waited with anticipation and excitement in the hallway outside of the bride’s room. Then all held hands and walked in to see Erin reveal her final look with hair and makeup all done, and her gown on. It was a really sweet moment that is one of my favorites from this wedding.
Nick chose a navy blue suite for himself and his groomsmen. With brown shoes and complimentary ties, they really looked sharp and the color of the suits worked really well with the bridal party’s attire. Erin let her bridal party choose garden themed dresses in styles and patterns that they loved, so they could wear them again and again if they wanted to. All the dresses were very fresh and cool in shades of pink and soft green, and peaches. Of course, Erin’s gown was the show stopper, she is just stunning!
I love the fun details that were incorporated into Erin and Nick’s day. One that stands out in memory because it was so yummy, is choosing Odd Pop to serve popsicles during cocktail hour and reception. This was a hit with both adults and kids at the wedding, and they even had a special popsicle that was added to their signature cocktail the “Marry Me Margarita”! But the fun details didn’t stop there-Nick and his Mom Tracy’s smashup Mother-Son dance was the most fun to watch and just seeing their smiles you know they had a blast with their performance. Their guests were pleasantly surprised as well and followed their performance with a round of loud applause.
Another really fun detail was the photo bus! The van was set up in the courtyard so guests could enjoy cocktail hour and take photos while they were waiting for the couple to join cocktail hour. One of the key details of this photo bus was that it was pink! Fit right in with Erin and Nick’s color scheme and was a really refreshing color on a warm May evening. And their set-up was super cute with rattan seating and a table to set your drink on.
Lots of details in this wedding were thoughtfully planned to provide not only a beautiful space to celebrate in, but also a fun and vibrant atmosphere for all to enjoy as they celebrated Erin and Nick! The dining table decor was beautifully styled with pink and green goblets and napkins along with romantic candlelight down the center of the table. Guests enjoyed a wonderful dinner menu with two beautiful cakes, grooms cake was baked by the Mother of the Groom! The couple was also looking for something that could be used as a favor/late night snack. During one of our planning meetings I told them about Austin Popcorn and they decided to get individually packaged popcorn in different flavors for their guests to take home at the end of the night. This family also proved that working together was a fun experience, that brought them together and further invested them in planning the perfect wedding day!
“We were so lucky to have found Donna Aleman with Ame Soeur Events. She was extremely helpful and kind throughout the entire planning process for our daughter’s wedding at Wish Well House. Each meeting she was very organized and had documents for us to make each meeting very productive. She gave wonderful guidance as we were choosing vendors. Donna answered all of my questions whether they were big or small. Normally, I am the person organizing family events, but I was thrilled to have someone as detailed as Donna making the day so very special down to every detail. We are truly grateful!” Mother of the Bride, Tanya left some love with this sweet review. Makes us happy to know that our expertise and caring planning process were appreciated. We loved working with Erin, Nick, Tanya and Tracy!
